What happens to your data

Your resume link is seen by our team and nobody else. Not by other students, not by the classmate approving the invitation, and not by anyone browsing the site. It goes to a company only if that company agrees to run a drive at your college, and only if you were approved for it.

The student approving an invitation is a classmate, not a recruiter. They are answering one question — is this person real, and would I vouch for them in front of this company — and a name, a branch and a semester is enough for that.

Handing a student their whole batch's resumes to browse is a much larger permission than the job needs, so we do not grant it. The query that builds their review list does not read the resume column at all.

When a company agrees to consider a drive, we send them:

• The college, its size, and which branches are involved.
• How many students have been approved for the invitation.
• The approved students’ resumes — names and links.

If you are not approved, or you withdraw before we pitch, nothing of yours is sent. You can withdraw from a pool at any time from your dashboard, or by emailing us.

Each college has a page listing the companies its students have invited, the student coordinating each invitation, and how many resumes have been approved. It does not list who is in a pool, and it does not show how a conversation with a company is going.

If you coordinate an invitation, your name, branch, semester and batch appear there. That is the one place a student's details are public, and it is the role you took on rather than something we decided. Ask us and we will hand the invitation to somebody else or close it.

There is no password. We email a six-digit code that expires in ten minutes, allows five wrong guesses, and works once. The code is stored hashed, the same way a password would be, so a copy of our database would not let anybody sign in as you.

Write to contact@mycampushire.org from the address on your account. We will send you everything we hold about you, or delete it, within thirty days. Deleting removes you from every pool you are in; an invitation you coordinated is passed on or closed rather than left without an owner.
