About the role

Turning designs into interfaces — HTML, CSS, JavaScript and React, plus the responsive and performance work that decides whether any of it survives contact with a mid-range phone. You will sit between the design team and the backend developers, which is where most of what you learn on this one will come from.

What you will be doing

• Work with the design and development teams to turn UI/UX designs into responsive interfaces
• Build and maintain front-end code in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and React
• Optimise applications for speed and for scale
• Review code and hold the line on quality and maintainability
• Work with the backend developers to wire components to server-side logic
• See features through the whole lifecycle, from requirements to deployment

Who can apply

• Available to work remotely for the full six months
• Able to start between 30 August and 4 October 2026
• Proficient in HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Experience with React or a comparable front-end library
• Sound on responsive design principles, and comfortable with Git
• Reading for a computer science or engineering degree, or equivalent experience
