About the role

Models against real data, which means the cleaning and the feature work as well as the training — that is most of the job and the listings that pretend otherwise are not doing you a favour. scikit-learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch, whichever suits the problem.

What you will be doing

• Build and implement machine learning algorithms against real business problems
• Write and optimise models in Python
• Apply deep learning techniques where they improve on the simpler thing
• Handle and manipulate large datasets with the right data structures
• Work with other teams to gather and analyse the data a model gets trained on
• Keep up with what is changing in ML and bring back what is worth using

Who can apply

• Available to work remotely for the full six months
• Able to start between 30 August and 4 October 2026
• Enrolled in a computer science, engineering, mathematics or related programme
• Proficient in Python, R or Java
• Solid on supervised and unsupervised learning, regression, classification and clustering
• Some exposure to scikit-learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch
