About the role

Django, mostly — models, views, templates and the REST APIs hanging off them, on web applications that already have users. Every change goes through review, which over six months is the part that actually teaches you to write Python somebody else can maintain.

What you will be doing

• Work with senior Django developers to turn requirements into working web applications
• Design database models, views, templates and forms against Django’s MVC architecture
• Write clean, efficient code that follows the team’s standards rather than your own
• Integrate third-party APIs and libraries where they beat writing it yourself
• Take part in code review, testing and debugging
• Document what you build — technical specs, implementation notes, user guides

Who can apply

• Available to work remotely for the full six months
• Able to start between 30 August and 4 October 2026
• Enrolled in a computer science, software engineering or related programme
• Proficient in Python, and clear on object-oriented fundamentals
• Familiar with HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and with basic SQL
